Near the Blue Lagoon in the Reykjanes Peninsula.

The Reykjanes Peninsula has been moulded and sculptured by volcanic activity for thousands of years. Black lava and old volcanoes are characteristic for the area and underneath the geothermal energy is grumbling, sometimes reaching the surface as is the case in the Krysuvik hot springs and of course harnessed for environmental friendly power generation as in the case of the Reykjanes Geothermal Power Plant.

Not only is the Reykjanes home of the world famous Blue Lagoon, but also the home of four unique golf courses. All are reachable within an hour drive from the Capital Area or within some 30 minutes drive from any of the local towns, such as Keflavik or Grindavik.

See more info about the region on Reykjanes Information Site.
